Llandudno Museum was opened to the public on 22nd June 1927 at Rapallo House, Craig y Don. The house and its contents had been left to the town of Llandudno by Francis Edouard Chardon, 'for the benefit of the inhabitants of, and visitors to, Llandudno.' Chardon was a keen collector of paintings, sculptures and objets d'art from all over the world and much of his collection was displayed at the museum.

One of the most beautiful gardens in the UK they consist of lawns, terraced gardens and a wide range of plants. The garden is managed for the National Trust by Lord Aberconwy.
