A sad day indeed for the community of Trefriw today. Conwy Council have voted again to close the heart of the village community of Trefriw by removing the Primary School that has been part of village life since 1902.
The village has opposed this for many years, with numerous articles about this in the local newspaers, including articles such as http://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/trefriw-buffalo-soldier-director-shoots-6857833 . And more recent attempts to challenge the move.
But, it seems, to no avail. Conwy Council have stuck to their original decision, and have voted to close the school.
